Hello there!

Interested to see what this school year has in store for us, but let's get to what ENG 1 will be bringing your way.

A little background on me: I have been teaching for 14 years, both at the middle and high school level. Big nerd, here, so if you want to get me off track, ask me about the finales of "Lost" and "Game of Thrones" to ensure at least a five minute tangent. I'm originally from Northern Michigan, so any other Michiganders that have relocated to SWFL should make themselves known.

ENG 1 will hopefully be a pleasant experience filled with the always fun grammar/mechanics, literary analysis discussions, critical thinking exercises, and essay writing. Students can look forward to assignments breaking down speeches, poems, song lyrics, novels, and plays. Some they might even enjoy!

Technology is going to be employed quite a bit, so make sure you have your Chromebook with you each day, because I use Google Classroom and other resources like USA Test Prep and IXL.
