Christopher Kuhn is originally from Ohio where he attended Mount Union College and majored in mathematics. "Mount Union has the best division three football team in the nation." Kuhn has been a Florida resident for two years, and has been teaching for a total of three years all at Lemon Bay. "I knew when I was a freshman in college that I wanted to be a teacher." He came to Florida looking for work and chose Lemon Bay because of a good wrestling team along with a good academic base for students.
He teaches Algebra II honors, liberal arts math, and math analysis for all grades. Kuhn is also an assistant varsity wrestling coach, as well as assistant junior varsity football coach, and he also contributes some of his time to the Math Club. Kuhn enjoys teaching because it gives him the opportunity to prepare students for the future and to teach them what he knows about math. "Math is an easy subject, and that's why I like to teach it." He enjoys working with the students to help them work through their own challenges in math. "I like helping students understand something they thought impossible to understand."
Some of Kuhn's interests outside of school include wrestling, football, playing cards with his friends, going to the beach, and spending some quality time fishing. His favorite interest is football, and his favorite football team is the Ohio State Buckeyes. He also likes to spend time with his wife and his pets; he has two chinchillas and one dog. "I love my chinchillas; they are like hamsters with the tail of a squirrel."
Kuhn is a dedicated teacher at Lemon Bay who helps students achieve their goals with sports and academics.
