I am originally from Long Island, New York, where I received my BA in Elementary Education. After getting married, my husband and I moved to Port Charlotte, Florida, where we have lived since 1992. After teaching 1st-4th grade at a couple of private schools, I decided to go back to get my masters degree after my son was born. I received my MA in Library Science from USF in 2003 and worked as a media specialist at Meadow Park Elementary for a year and a half until transferring to Port Charlotte High School, where I was a media specialist for 7 and 1/2 years. I came to Lemon Bay in August of 2011, and am honored to be a part of this terrific staff and student body.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family- I have a son and a daughter who keep me very busy, and my husband and I are huge NASCAR fans! We enjoy attending races whenever we get the chance. I am an active member of Murdock Baptist Church, where I sing in the choir and participate in various mission trips. Reading is my passion, and I enjoy nothing more than curling up with a cup of coffee and a good book.
